Any one in the United States for the last three or four decades know that should any ‘perceived’ injustice is brought to the African Amercian, Jessie Jackson and/or Al Sharpton will find the open mike and camera. They swarm like honey bees to pollen in order to germinate their cause.
Sadly, their practice has now been picked up many more people. It appears the new trend developed from Jackson and Sharpton is afforded to ‘like-minded’ people to place their face before the camera and chew on the mike for any and every ’cause.’ Some of these causes have nothing to do the event but there they are. Where do they find the time, the money, and the means? Idle hands?
A special word of recognition to the media for feeding this desire for exposure. Tragedies and heartbreaking incidents occur. It is deplorable when any person would use such occasions as an impromptu press conference to fight unrelated causes.
Jackson and Sharpton have done little in recent years to help the causes they spew. Nowadays people are sighing whenever they hear either of these are coming to town.
Why not let a prayer vigil be just that? Why stir the pot of a festered sore except to incite? Injustices comes to all people.
Why is there so much hate? Why is there so much freedom to express hate?
Until next time,
