The American Dread

The  American Dream, Dread

(Subtitle: The Weariness of Reality)

  • Wake up to more problems than pleasure.
  • Walk daily to more trials than triumphs.
  • My companion is more heartache than happiness.
  • The journey is filled with more junk than joy.
  • Travel each path with more despair than delight.
  • Surrounded with the unemployed living off the employed.
  • Sights and sounds of the druggies partying while the taxpayer struggles to pay for their dope.
  • Deadbeats go for free medical treatment while the insured get showered with medical fees.
  • Criminals get a slap on the wrist while the law-abiding are pounded with requests for donations.
  • Children having babies they think are toy dolls only to mistreat them and hurt them.
  • Beautiful artwork cover ups a beautiful person.
  • The melodies of your lips are saturated with vulgar and filth. Whose did you say you are?
  • The killing of a six pack leads to a killing.
  • She’s a beauty in bed even though she’s not in her husband’s.
  • He’s your hunk although borrowed for a few moments from his wife.
  • You Just Don’t Give A Care.
  • As Long As You’re Not Hurting.
  • So, What The Hell! Deal With It! Right?

Until Next Time,
