Is the Obvious Truly Obvious?

Ever heard the expression, ‘it’s as clear as mud?’ I have. I take it to mean some things are not really difficult to figure out. We, however, muddy the picture with questions, opinions, reservations, and interpretations.

It’s the same thought behind the expression, ‘can’t see the forest for the trees.’ What you need to see is right there. It’s revealed purposely. God has shown His will and purpose many times in a clear and unquestionable way yet His people receive it with suspicion.

God has a will. He has a purpose. God’s children are called upon to seek it out. For some reason there are people in God’s church who make accomplishing God’s will more difficult than it has to be.

Is it possible that what God wants to purpose in His local church does not need to be scrutinized and searched for with great tenacity before knowing what He desires? Why must we search and search, pray and pray, meet and meet when God may very well have the answer without having to engage in a lot of searching, praying and meeting. In other words the answer to the prayers could be simple, immediate and God’s will.

God knows what the church has need of before we do. God can so work in the lives of His children so the answer to what the church needs is already there before the church knows there is a need.

Hey church, don’t make this harder than it has to be.

Just Saying.

Until next time,
