Burger King Chrisitianity

We live in a time when we see only a glimpse of God’s miraculous power. Occasionally some one walks the aisle and surrender their heart to Jesus Christ. The congregants wonder if this is for real or some emotional response to life’s issues. The same repetition in most person’s life is hardly a year after making a decision for Christ, you can’t find them in church any where!

God’s great power is seen in true repentance and salvation. Seldom do we see God’s power working in the church. Why? It’s the Curse of Burger King Chrisitianity.

Curse of Burger King Christianity is the ‘have it your way’ Chrisitianity.

There is compromise in the area of Salvation.
‘Borderline Chrisitianity’ = lifestyle of a christian while with christians. Lifestyle of world while with world.

‘Burger King Christianity’ = Have it your way.’ Never mind what the Bible says about salvation, forgiveness, repentance, etc… People think they need religion when in fact people need a relationship.

There is compromise in the area of Separation
It’s a saved but don’t go too far attitude.

There is compromise in the area of Soul-winning
Who is the last person you witnessed to?

Our land is blanketed with people who are proud of their sins. There is no shame, no guilt, and no repentance.

Is your christianity a Burger King christianity?

Until next time,
