Year-Long Christmas gifts

I know this blog is read around the world. I don’t know how the citizens of all countries are cared for by their respective leaders/citizenry. Here’s what I know for the citizens of the USA.

You call it your money. It’s a gift. It’s not really yours to do as you please. Consider it a Christmas gift that you receive each month; year in and year out. The taxpayer earning funds in an effort to be independent of government assistance gives those tax dollars for distribution to help the needy and less fortunate.

Chaps my hid to see people who are able to work, earn a living, and contribute to society depending on the working class to pay for their ‘wants.’ Drug addicts, alcoholics, and useless lazy sloths just wait for the first of the month to see if “their” check has arrived.

Maybe the services ought to be provided instead of the money? Maybe the addicts should be tested, penalized and/or eliminated from the program. Maybe they should be investigated so they came be found as fraudulent thieves like the man who gets government checks yet works in a lawn care business.

Our government should care for the truly disabled. However, for the seeming majority of recipients of welfare, I feel like the statue and they are the pigeons.

Until next time
