Years ago there was a popular southern gospel sing group called the McKameys. One of their songs spoke of people being afraid of the light. Better yet let’s say “Light'” Just as it was true back then, it is all the more true now.
The bible saids “the truth shall set you free.” I take this ‘Truth’ to be Jesus Christ. This ‘truth’ is also called the word. John 17:17
Truth shall indeed set you free but there’s more people scared of the Truth than those who welcome [embrace] Truth.
People don’t think they want to hear the truth of God. Here’s what you get from truth telling:
1. Angry people
2. Angry words
3. Angry attitudes
You can expect alienation from family and friends. Even Christian friends will spew violent words, accusations and offensive attitudes your way.
Expect to be called judgmental. Expect to be viewed as anti-loving, holier-than-thou, fanatics. How you do respond to such venom?
Ask Jesus to help you show His Love
Stay faithful to His Word.
Leave the results to Him.
Pray for understanding for the vipers.
The unsaved, the indecent, the so-called christian whose relations is null and void need to learn basic bible truths.
Abstinence from alcohol is as much about a good witness as a good moral character.
Abstinence from sexual intercourse before and outside of marriage is a definite no-no but the land is saturated with it.
Homosexuality is clearly and plainly denounced in Truth but yet the perverted profess God made me this way. You gotta know God does not like making Him out to be a liar.
To speak against against alcoholism is not to be understood as hating alcoholics.
To speak against fornication and adultery is not to be understood as hating the fornicator, adulterer, whore and whoremonger.
To speak against Gay and Lesbian lifestyle is not to be understood as hating people who are involved in queer behavior.
No matter how hard one tries, when he or she shares the Light to a dark, depraved and dying world, there will be those scared of the Truth who spew their wickedness unreserved.
So to all who are insulted with the sharing of the Truth, the Word, the Christ – Jesus as it relates to me, my encouragement is for you to talk to my Lawyer.
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. (1 John 2:1, 2 NASB)
Until next time,
