Running Wild

The local news, USA Today, and Facebook all sharing about the kindergarten student placed in handcuffs for being destructive, violent and injurious with others.

Can’t you hear the outcries. Parents outraged! Just a little kid. Next voices likely to be heard are the reverends Jackson and Shaprton. The child is not white so…

Now had the police restrained the child with their hands to keep her from harming herself or others, you can bet your busted bubble marks would have been left and the song being played, Here comes the judge, Here comes the judge.

Curious what the child got so upset over. Parents said it was a mood swing. Mom couldn’t be found so school calls police.

Kids running wild. It used to be certain behaviors were not tolerated. Kids were made to be quiet and respectful at funeral homes and funerals. They sat at the dinner table throughout the meal and not run loose in the restaurant. The kids were dressed for the occasion. Now they throw on whatever is handy.

Sad these kids grow up to be teenagers whose behaviors are just as elementary. They jump up from bed, throw on clothes out of the wad of dirty clothes laying in the basket or floor and head out to work with the public.

I used to get mad as heck at my parents when they enforced certain behaviors cause we had to behave appropriately. Come to think of it, if our country would allow people to be like my grandma and be free to love, teach, and discipline then we would be much better off.

Self-centeredness and laziness is the name of the game in today’s young society.
