“Left-overs versus Left-out”

After watching the local and world news I began surveying the TV Guide app on my iPad for something to watch. I kept switching channels every few minutes even checking out the guide on my tv set. Nothing seemed interesting. I looked ahead to see what was coming on in the next hour or two. Still nothing good. Nothing interesting. Nothing genuine.

Then I remembered. I downloaded an app recently called iTunesU. From that app I downloaded some free lessons on theology etc. Along with other religious studies, I have twelve podcasts of Dr.. Paige Patterson delivering his commentary on Revelation.

Why didn’t I listen to this sooner. It was interesting. It was relevant. It was genuine. Now I say not only it was but it is!

I challenge myself and ask you to partner with me. Less worldly tv and more genuine nourishment from a Higher Power.

Guess I was giving God my leftovers. Whether it was my time, my interest, my desire to watch television or whatever. God was coming later. I should give God first. We should.

Giving God leftovers can cause you to get “left out.”

Until next time,

Hoss
